UK KFA Statement on the 59th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War

UK KOREAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION

                            London 26th of July
The UK Korean Friendship Association issued the following statement on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War(Korean War) against the US imperialists .
Although the US imperialists threw in massive armed forces into the war including UK armed forces(against the wishes of the British people) and spent huge sums of money they were unable to subdue the Korean people. On the 27th of July they signed the Korean Armstice Agreement, general Mark Clark
wearily concluded "I cannot find it in me to exalt at this hour. In carrying out the instructions of my government, I gained the unenviable distinction of being the first United States army commander in history to sign an armistice without victory ".

The DPRK and Korean People's Army under the command of the great leader generalissimo Kim Il Sung, an ever victorious iron-willed brilliant commander fought a people's war , a war of justice against the imperialist invaders and won victory.
The victory was due to the orginal Juche-orienated war methods. It showed that a small country could fight a big country and win. As respected Marsal Kim Jong Un said
"In   human   history   there   has  been  recorded  no  such  a  leader  of  the  type  of  military  general  as  Kim Il Sung, an unparalleled commander possessed of the power of both pen and sword, who, always standing on the front line with arms of the revolution in his hands, achieved one victory after another in the showdowns with the imperialist forces by dint of his brilliant military strategy and art of command.

Despite its defeat in the war the US still keeps troops in south Korea which were supposed to be withdrawn under the terms of the Korean Armistice Agreement   . Morover they have wantonly broken the Korean Armstice Agreement by repeatedly introducing weapons that are prohibited under the agreement.
Whilst congratulating the Korean people on the anniversary of their victory in the Korean War we wish to reiterate our call for the withdrawal of US troops from south Korea and the replacement of the Armistice Agreement
with a proper permanent peace treaty
