The Country of Good Luck -Article by ASSPUK and JISGE chairman

Whilst I was visiting the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the invitation of the Korean Association of Social Scientists I witnessed the positive reality of the country. Visiting the Monument to Party Foundation one small thing happened that made me think very deeply about People's Korea, the Juche Idea, the Workers' Party of Korea and the great leaders of the Korean people , great generalissimo Kim Il Sung, eternal chairman Kim Jong Il and dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. The Monument to the Party Foundation is  itself a mighty edifice to the single-hearted unity of the Korean people around the Party and the leader. The DPRK is probably the only socialist country to have such a  monument.
After seeing the monument we went to see the excellent cultural exhibition nearby. On the way back I noticed 2 magpies by the Party Foundation. In my country it is tradition that the sight of 2 magpies together represent good luck or joy(however 1 magpie on its own represents sorrow). So this seemed deeply symbolic that they were by the monument to Party Foundation. I explained to my young lady guide Miss Kim that it my country 2 magpies represent good luck. She laughed gently saying every day she saw 2 magpies together  so she has good luck !
Indeed the entire people of the DPRK have good luck to live under the people-centred socialist system and under the leadership of dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un and the Workers' Party of Korea. In the DPRK people are given housing free of charge something which would be impossible in capitalist countries like the UK where the rent for a flat the size of shoebox in a rundown area is over £1000 per month !. Taxation was abolished in the DPRK in 1974 , again this is something impossible in my own country where the government increased VAT to 20% and there are rumours of tax increases. The price of a Metro ticket is unchanged since 2008 (actually before).People in the DPRK do not have to worry about getting a job as full employment is guarnteed by the state.  Education at all levels from kindegarten to university is free of charge. Health-care including prescriptions is free of charge.

In the DPRK young people enjoy carefree lives. They do not have to worry about finding a job. They can go to university free of charge and can start their working lives without the massive burden of student debt. People enjoy themselves at Funfairs , at the Zoo and at theatres . Indeed during this visit to  the DPRK which was my 8th visit I became convinced that the Korean people have a much better life than people in the UK. People in the DPRK go out in the evenings to enjoy themselves at amusement parks whereas in the UK in the evening many people would just sit at home (in their "little boxes" as one American poet once said) depressed and miserable(or drunk or on drugs). Frankly it is hard for people in the DPRK to imagine life in capitalist societies where mental depression, drug  abuse ,degeneracy and suicide are rampant. Korean people do not know depression, negativity or cynicism.
During my meeting with the section  chief of the KASS on my last day he explained to me that it is safe for children to walk by themselves on the streets of Pyongyang at any time of the day . This is not the case in London. In London parents are expected to drop and pick up their children from school because it is not safe at any time of the day for children to move about on their own for fear of them being attacked or kidnapped by paedophiles. In the UK the authorities do not seriously tackle the problem of paedophiles and there is a cult of sexual liberalism and permissiveness. In the DPRK one cannot see pornography on sale anywhere. In the UK some daily papers publish pornographic pictures of women which degrade them. The UK has a high rate of sexual crimes against women as a result but in the DPRK women are respected as the flower of the country.
The family is respected in the DPRK, in fact it is recognised as the basic cell of society and protected by law .Divorce is virtually unknown . This is in start contrast to the UK where 1 in 3 marriages end in divorce and family break-up causes massive social problems.
Of course in reality the happy lives of the Korean people are not due to good luck or chance or fate but to the people-centred Juche-based socialist system the legacy of the great leaders comrade Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il . The good luck of the Korean people is to have the Juche idea, authored by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung, that makes them masters of everything enabling them to lead independent and creative lives, and also, to have the Songun idea that defends the socialist system and the independence of the country and the people. Without the leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung, the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il, the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, the WPK , the Juche Idea and the Songun idea, the Korean people would not enjoy the happy ,joyous, vigourous and creative lives that I witnessed many times during my visit. Without the three great leaders of the Korean people Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un , and also the Juche idea, the Korea would be colony of imperialism and capitalism  with the people living miserable lives. Indeed without great President Kim Il Sung Korea would not exist on the world map.

Therefore the real good luck of the Korean people of the Korean people is to have great eternal president Kim Il Sung , great eternal chairman Kim Jong Il  and great respected Marshal Kim Jong Un as their leaders and to live under the
excellent superior people-centred socialist system established by the great leader
comrade Kim Il Sung !
LONG LIVE THE DPRK!
LONG LIVE THE WPK!
LONG LIVE THE JUCHE IDEA !
LONG LIVE DEAR RESPECTED MARSHAL KIM JONG UN!
