DPRK's Choice Will Be beyond Imagination of Hostile Forces: KCNA Commentary

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- The U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and moves for a nuclear war against it have entered a grave stage.
Some days ago, the U.S. fabricated a "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK at the UNSC. It is now deploying armed forces for a nuclear war in the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity while talking about "new provocation of the north".
It recently deployed on Guam, the island situated near the Korean Peninsula, B-2 Stealth bombers from the U.S mainland. The bombers have the mission of a "precision strike" at nuclear and missile bases of the DPRK. It also conducted an interceptor missile test in the central coast of California State on Jan. 26.
The U.S. is now getting hell-bent on the joint anti-submarine drill targeting the "north's nuclear facilities" in the East Sea of Korea in league with the south Korean puppet forces by mobilizing nuclear submarines of the U.S. forces.
This goes to fully prove what extent the U.S. and its allies' hysteria for a nuclear war has reached as they undisguisedly revealed the U.S. attempt at a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK.
The UNSC's "resolution on sanctions" backed by the U.S. is nothing but a pretext to realize its hostile policy toward the DPRK, not to ensure the stability and peace in the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity.
Problem rests with the UNSC which acted as a marionette under the manipulation of the U.S. which "legalized" the Korean war in the 1950s and ignited wars of aggression in Iraq and other places of Middle East and rest of the world in the new century.
All facts prove that the DPRK was just when it chose the way of independence and Songun.
Independence and Songun were the only options of the DPRK and they served as a secret of its final victory whenever the U.S. moves for a nuclear war reached the extreme phase, including U.S. armed spyship Pueblo incident in the 1960s, the Panmunjom axe incident in the 1970s and the nuclear racket in the 1990s.
The history of the Korean people's struggle against imperialism and the U.S. and their experience left them with no other option but to declare an all-out action, such as expanding and bolstering military capabilities for self-defence.
We also need stability and peaceful environment for the country's economic development.
But, for us the sovereignty is precisely the rights to existence, self-determination and development.
The army and people of the DPRK have drawn a bitter lesson of history that a country and nation without sovereignty has a fate worse than that of a dog of a mourner's house, to say nothing of having stability and the right to development.
The enemies are seriously mistaken if they think they can get any flexibility and concession from the DPRK which declared an all-out action to defend the sovereignty of the country, the nation of the people considering sovereignty more valuable than their own lives.
Now that the hostile acts toward the DPRK have gone beyond the limit of universally accepted understanding and norms of the international community, the DPRK's option in reaction to it will also go beyond the imagination of the hostile forces.
The DPRK has drawn a final conclusion that it will have to take a measure stronger than a nuclear test to cope with the hostile forces' nuclear war moves that have become ever more undisguised. This is the demand of the people.
There is no other option for the DPRK but to fight it out. -0-
