STATEMENT ON THE 65TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF KOREA

It
is with a immense feeling of satiation, that the Friends of Korea are
now celebrating the sixty fifth anniversary of the founding of the
Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. The Korean people who had enslaved
for decades by Japanese Imperialism, were able to proclaim their
sovereignty on September 8th, 1948. President KIM IL SUNG established a
Peoples Democratic State for the first time on the soil of Korea. The
DPRK was a state which represented the national aspirations of all the
Korean People, north, south and overseas.
During the past 65
years, the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea achieved proud victories
and tremendous changes, on the road of Independence, Socialism and
Songun Politics. Adhering to the Juche Idea, the DPRK has overcome all
obstacles and challenges , and has been victorious in the cause of the
revolution and construction. Peoples Korea has solved every issue from a
position of independence, with the conviction of resolving the
questions of national development in its own way.
In the sphere
of foreign relations, the DPRK has upheld the banner of independence,
friendship and peace. The party, the government and the people of the
DPRK have consisted opposed imperialism and dominationism, and have
given both material and moral assistance to the peoples of the world who
are fighting for independence. Over the past 60 years, the DPRK
government has sought that the Korean people would live their own way in
state building and activities.
The secret of the success of the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea lies in the fact that it has
maintained Juche Character and national identity. It is a great pride
that the DPRK has displayed Songun Politics. The Songun Revolutionary
Leadership began on August 25th, 1960 by the Chairman KIM JONG IL has
demonstrated its vitality. Due to the Songun Revolution, the DPRK has
become powerful in terms of ideology, military affairs and economy. The
path of Socialist Korea was one of prolonged confrontations with the
imperialists and a do or die route to defend socialism from the national
and class enemies. In the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953), the
DPRK defeated the allied forces of imperialism. Today, the Songun
Politics of the DPRK are guaranteeing the peace and security of the
Korean peninsula, and of Asia and of the world.
A people-centred
socialist state, the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea is the life
and the soul of the Korean people. The people are the masters of
everything in the DPRK, everything is run for and by the working masses.
All state activities in the DPRK are guided by the slogan, "We Serve
The People!".Free medical care, compulsory and free education, full
employment, available social facilities, free housing, no taxation and
other benefits of the DPRK's social system. in the DPRK there is the
tradition of collectivism throughout society, the spirit of single
hearted unity.
Now on its 65th year of existence, the prestige
and might of the DPRK is sky high. All success which have been achieved
and are being made currently, in the building of a powerful and
prosperous socialist country are forever associated with the august
names of KIM IL SUNG and of KIM JONG IL. The Dear Respected Leader KIM
JONG UN stated that the Korean people's dignified lives and glorious
reality and the prosperous future are unthinkable apart from the embrace
of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, founded and consolidated
by President KIM IL SUNG and by Chairman KIM JONG IL.
The
Staffordshire Branch of the UK KFA calls upon all socialists,
anti-imperialists and peace campaigners to rejoice in the successes of
the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, upon the 65th anniversary of
the founding of the DPRK. Peoples Korea is a brilliant example of independence and creativity, a shinning jewel in the crown of
international socialism. Let us, the Friend of Korea, rally closer
around the Glorious Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea!!
