Rodong Sinmun Denounces U.S Moves to Beef up Its Special Operation Force

Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- The Special Operation Command of the U.S. Forces increased its force to 72 000 this year from 33 000 of 2001. Its budget jumped to 10.4 billion dollars from 2.3 billion dollars of 2001.
It was reported that U.S. special warfare force had been deployed in about 60 countries of the world in the closing period of the Bush Administration but now it has its bases in 134 countries.
Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a commentary in this regard:
This goes to clearly prove what desperate efforts the U.S. is making to expand the sphere of its domination.
It is the mission of the U.S. special force to take the lead in attaining its strategic goal to dominate and plunder other countries and nations and, furthermore, put the whole world under its control.
The special force which the U.S. boasts so much is the first line unit for wrecking peace and a typical terrorist force.
The gravity of the issue is that the theaters of operations of the U.S. special units are not confined to a few countries or regions.
Their command organized units for infiltrating them into regions of strategic importance including major regions rich in resources of the world and military strongholds and independent countries aspiring after justice and progress.
What should not be overlooked is that the spearhead of the U.S. special force is directed to the Korean Peninsula.
The U.S. strategic nuclear strike means including nuclear weapons and special task units are massively deployed in south Korea and in its vicinity.
It is a daydream of Washington to try to do harm to the DPRK with any special force involved. Such operation against the DPRK is as foolish an act as jumping into fire with fagot on their back. -0-
