The theatre of confrontation between socialism and capitalism

DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong made a brilliant speech at the UN human rights council. It was very sharp and to the point . One bit in particular stands out . Referring to the offensive against the DPRK over the human rights issue he said " It is only an extension of the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK pursued since the dawn of the Cold War by which they turned the Korean peninsula into a theatre of confrontation between socialism and capitalism in Asia. To this end, they poured an astronomical amount of money into south Korea, while, at the same time, seeking to bring down the social system of the DPRK by all evil methods including isolation, stifling, blockade, suffocation, threat, blackmail and pressure." . This is very true the DPRK has had every obstacle put in its way whereas south Korea received huge amounts of aid from the US , not just the US but Japan poured money and even the UK gave aid to south Korea. Under old "sunny Jim" Callaghan British Leyland helped Hyundai ! The "south Korean miracle" is just hype . As the British academic the late Malcolm Caldwell wrote
"deprived of massive loans,US military propping ,and integration into the international capitalist economy  south Korea would collapse, whereas abiding by Juche north Korea can stand independent indefinitely ".
The DPRK has no homeless or beggars even though it has faced years and years of US sanctions but south Korea the darling of world imperialism which has received massive aid and investment has many homeless and beggars.
