Spokesman for CCNR Slams S. Korean Authorities' Reckless Remarks

Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Consultative Council for National Reconciliation issued the following statement on Monday as regards the fact that the south Korean authorities are making reckless remarks against the DPRK after the U.S. cooked up the "sanctions resolution" 2371 by using the voting machine of the United Nations on August 6:

No sooner had the UN "resolution" been adopted than those of Chongwadae began letting out impudent remarks that "it is important that a "resolution" was rapidly adopted by consensus" and "it is more significant that China and Russia agreed to impose sanctions".

Those of the south Korean foreign ministry asserted that the adoption of the recent "sanctions resolution" is of practical significance in blocking the DPRK's financing channel related with the development of its nuclear weapons as it will reduce its foreign currency earning and deal a considerable blow to it. Kang Kyong Hwa, foreign minister of south Korea on a junket to Philippine, "appreciated and thanked for the successful adoption of the UN resolution", saying "the resolution contains very important and substantial contents."

Against this backdrop, the foreign ministry in a commentary of its spokesman welcomed the above-said "resolution", terming it "a manifestation of the resolute will of the international community never to allow the north's development of nuclear weapons and missiles." It urged the DPRK to "stop its reckless provocation at once and come out for a dialogue for denuclearization and peace as early as possible." It also claimed that the south Korean regime would steadily make efforts for the north's complete denuclearization and settlement of durable peace on the Korean peninsula, sincerely implementing the UN "resolutions" in close cooperation with the international community.

This is just the height of sycophancy toward the U.S. peculiar to the thrice-cursed traitors seeking to curry favor with their master U.S. by sacrificing even compatriots for the sake of outsiders.

The DPRK has already clarified that its step for bolstering the nuclear force for self-defence is an entirely just one for tackling the ceaseless nuclear threats and blackmails from the U.S. and its ICBM tests were to send a serious warning to the U.S. persisting in making absurd remarks after losing its temper.

It also offered the south Korean regime an opportunity for repentance, reminding it of the fact that it will only lose everything if it persists in foolish acts of following in the footsteps of the conservative regime, faulting the DPRK's ICBM tests.

Nevertheless, the puppet regime cried out for imposing "independent sanctions", disregarding the patience and magnanimity shown by the DPRK, and unhesitatingly engaged in such risky gambling as playing the role of a shock brigade for the U.S. in its outrageous sanctions racket to pressurize the DPRK.

Such disgusting behavior clearly shows that the south Korean regime is just a dog bred by the U.S. and a pack of confrontation maniacs similar to the conservative group and that the public of south Korea are so foolish as to expect the improvement of the north-south relations from such thrice-cursed politicians.

By joining the U.S. in cooking up the "sanctions resolution" against the DPRK the puppet regime revealed itself that its talk about "dialogue" was hot air and it will regard the DPRK as enemy, not as a country of fellow countrymen.

It should judge itself the impact of the sanctions and pressure racket on the north-south relations.

It had better face up to the acute situation that the group of crazy Trump is crying out for not "ruling out a war", and think twice about the catastrophic calamity to be entailed by it.

It should not forget that it will completely lose the opportunity for dealing with the DPRK and everything will end at once if it persistently resorts to stupid and reckless acts.

The more the south Korean authorities let out impudent and reckless remarks against the trend of the times, the dearer price they will have to pay. -0-
