  London 18th of January Juche 107 (2018)
  The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement on the recent talks between the DPRK and south Korea;
 On the 17th of January talks between the DPRK and south Korea were held at  Panmunjom concerning the participation of the DPRK in the 23rd Winter Olympics and Paralympics. It was agreed that the DPRK would send a sports team, cheer group, Taekwon-do demonstration group and press corps . What is highly significant is that the DPRK and south Korea will march under the flag of a reunified Korea .
   This is big step forward for peace and reunification which has been hailed by the world media and is evoking excitement amongst the world progressive people.The icy glacier of national division imposed by the US imperialists has started to thaw.Our organisations applaud these moves towards  a lessening of tension and towards reunification.
   The imperialists are talking about the DPRK 'driving a wedge between south Korea and the US '. This is the most ridiculous thing ever said . The Pacific Ocean and thousands of miles separate Korea and the US . The US is an uninvited guest on the Korean peninsula, an unwanted interloper and in fact occupier and enemy of the Korean nation.
  Although a very big step forward has been taken there should be no room for complacency because US troops still occupy south Korea, they are the root cause of Korea's division. Despite the lessening of inter-Korean tensions , the US imperialists have deployed extra forces and equipment around the Korean peninsula as well as staging the Vancouver anti-DPRK conference and imposing sanctions on  People's Korea. The US plans to deploy nuclear aircraft carriers and go ahead with war exercises against People's Korea . The south Korean chief executive has even praised Trump. This shows the
process of inter-Korean dialogue still has a very long way to go and that pro US attitudes amongst the south Korean ruling quarters need to be uprooted .
  We support the struggle of the Korean people for reunification and for the withdrawal of US forces
from the south  !
KOREA IS ONE !
US OUT OF KOREA !
