The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean peninsula (BSCPKP) issued the following joint statement denouncing the ultra-right fascist anti-reunification forces in south Korea and the south Korean conservative media for undermining the recent moves towards inter-Korean co-operation and reunification;
Thanks to the consistent efforts of the DPRK that a break-though has been made in the struggle for Korean reunification and peace on Korean peninsula . It had been agreed that the DPRK would participate in the Winter Olympics and there would be other forms of exchange and co-operation. However the atmosphere has been dampened due to the toxic propaganda of the south Korean conservative media and also far-right parties such as the Liberty Korea party .Such elements are poisoning the inter-Korean peace process.
Those in south Korea who organised a demonstration against the joint hosting of the Winter Olympics and the DPRK's participation , are anti-reunification fascists . They are south Korea's equivalent of Britain First, BNP, EDL, and National Action ! .The only difference is that the strings of the south Korean fascist far right are pulled by Yankee imperialism!
We condemn the moves of the south Korean anti-reunification forces and the US imperialists ! We
support the just efforts of the Korean people including the south Korea people for reunification . We
support the struggle of the south Korean people led by the AINDF for independence and genuine
peace .
