U.S. Is Doomed to Destruction: KCNA Commentary

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- Recently the U.S. and its vassal forces held the "Vancouver foreign ministers' meeting" in Canada over the security and stability of the Korean Peninsula.

The issue of stepping up sanctions and pressure against the DPRK for its "denuclearization" was reportedly put on the table at the meeting attended by foreign ministers of 20 countries including Japan, Britain and France that participated in the past Korean War, with U.S. Secretary of State Tillerson in the chair.

The U.S. claimed that the meeting was aimed at putting sustained pressure in such feasible ways for blocking maritime channels of north Korea and that it should know such pressure gets stronger as time goes by.

At a time when a peaceful environment has been created on the Korean Peninsula thanks to our active efforts, the U.S. and its vassal forces held the meeting. This is unpardonable provocation going against the aspiration and desire of all Koreans for the country's peace and reunification and aggravating the regional situation.

Now the international community is pouring scorn on the farce of those countries which were defeated in the Korean War.

The U.S. dispatched its huge aggression forces boasting of their "invincibleness" and "elite" as well as its vassal forces to the Korean Peninsula in the past century but they all met the fate of forlorn wandering spirits.

The U.S. predecessors who suffered from disgrace of "defeated general" and "grave general" frankly confessed that the U.S. fought a wrong war with a wrong rival in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The U.S., which failed to bring the Korean people with rifles to their knees in the Korean War, is now trying to inveigle its vassal forces into the dangerous scenario against the DPRK which has emerged as a new strategic state. It is nothing but hysteria.

Those countries that joined the United States in the Korean War have still joined it in international terrorism at its beck and call. This adds to the crimes against the Korean people.

As the saying goes, those who are fond of playing with fire are destined to perish in the flames and there is no use crying over spilt milk.

When the north and the south of Korea have dialogues for the successful holding of the great event common to the nation, the south Korean authorities joined in the international plot to do harm to their fellow countrymen. This is intolerable.

The reality once again clearly tells who breaks reconciliation and unity between the north and the south and who harasses peace of the Korean Peninsula.

The aggressors and provokers who are trying to ignite a second Korean war challenging the strongest nuclear power and military power of the world will only face corpse and death.

No matter how desperate the U.S. gets to increase pressure upon the DPRK by mobilizing all sorts of riffraff, oblivious of the DPRK's strategic position and trend of the times, the empire of America is doomed to destruction. -0-
